Yesterday was our church family picnic at Beulah Beach, right on Lake Erie. And, I decided it was time to be baptized. I followed in Jesus’ footsteps and was baptized with 70+ others. It was a beautiful and glorious day! God is great.
So, what better way to start fresh than with the Proverbs Challenge! I just recently heard of the Proverbs Challenge, which is reading one chapter of Proverbs every day for 31 days (31 chapters). You can start the first day of the month, or whenever you’d like. Then, you just share some of the verses that caught your eye.
And, I thought what better way to start fresh than with the Proverbs Challenge!
Here goes…
Proverbs 1: 2-3, 7, 29-33
For attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight; for acquiring a discipline and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord, since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.
